Parasite Cleanse FAQ:

my science textbook says that pathogens are “microscopic organisms” And so how can parasites be pathogens when we can see them with our eyes?
Is the textbooks definition of a pathogen wrong? And if it is what is it?
Thanks.

a pathogen can be defined as a disease-producing agent—Which is exactly what a parasite is. Some parasites are microscopic, but just because you can see parasites doesn’t eliminate them from being a pathogen. I will admit that there could have been a better way to define pathogen….In a way the definition is worded incorrectly because a microscopic organism may not necessarily be a pathogen….for example, plankton is microscopic organism, but isn’t a pathogen unless it causes some type of illness.

According to your paragraph, your science textbook says that pathogens are microscopic organisms, and doesn’t mention parasites.

Anyways, pathogens are disease causing organisms. They don’t necessarily have to be microscopic.

You’re better off checking wikipedia though.
