Parasite Cleanse FAQ:

I’m a bit confused, they seem to be very similar.
Also, can parasites be beneficial to the host? Cause if they are just living in the host and obtaining nutrients from it (causing damage to the body), how are they any different from a pathogen?

They can be similar. Let’s start with “pathogen”. A pathogen is any organism that is capable of producing disease. Disease causing organisms are described as being “pathogenic”. Does this mean that all parasites are pathogenic? No.

Now let’s look at “parasite”. A parasite is an organism that has a close relationship with its host and is dependent on its host for its life functions. Parasites rarely kill their hosts. Viruses are parasites as are helminth (worms). The relationship between a parasite and host can be symbiotic with each benefiting from the other. But some parasites are also pathogens.

So while all pathogens cause disease and some parasites may be pathogenic, not all parasites are pathogens.

Its not similar. Pathogen means disease producing organism. Pathogen is capable of producing disease in human. But parasite is not capable to produce diseases always. It dependents on human for its life functions. Parasites rarely produce diseases in their hosts. Helminth (worms) are parasite.
