It’s swimmers itch. Looks and feels like chicken pox. So maybe a back scrather? But he can eat anything he wants or feels like. He won’t have it long, but tell him to towel dry off real well next time, and don’t swim around geese or ducks. That’s where the parasite comes from.

OOPS, I am sorry. I was way wrong. I was thinking of “schistosomiasis”. The answer below is the right one. Sorry.

First of all, it’s NOT swimmer’s itch.

It’s a parasite that is acquired by injesting fecal contaminated water. Humans and animals can carry this parasite - its quite hardy (it can live for many days in pools with adquate chlorine levels.).

The main symptom in normally healthy people is a case of diarrhea. The parasite can be seen in an acid-fast stain (its Acid Fast Positive).

He can eat anything so long as he can keep it down or it doesn’t trigger a diarrhea attack.

BTW, you cannot catch this parasite from blood. When you visit your friend, be sure to wash your hands very well with soap and water after your visit and before you put your hands in your mouth or handle any food.

Movies are good! Take him 3 or 4.
